Your BOID is an account number. Your password is not.
A BOID is the 16-digit number of your demat account, and it is all the official CDSC check needs — the same way a bank account number is not a secret. What is secret is your MeroShare password, your PIN, and any one-time code sent to your phone. Mero Sanjal will never ask you for those, and neither will CDSC. Anyone who does is not who they say they are.

Applying for an issue
- You need a demat account with a depository participant, and a MeroShare login linked to it.
- Apply through MeroShare while the issue is open. Most ordinary issues take a minimum of 10 units at Rs 100 each.
- The amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA and released if you are not allotted.
- Once the result is out, check it on CDSC’s service with your BOID.
